Performance Evaluation and Academic Accreditation Unit<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>_<\/span><\/div><\/div>[vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

Overview <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Performance Evaluation and Academic Accreditation Unit<\/strong> originated as the Department of Academic Performance Evaluation and Development<\/strong> under the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs. The first director of the department was Prof. Dr. Khaled Bashrahil<\/strong>. Recognizing the growing importance of quality assurance in higher education, the department was upgraded to the Center for Academic Development and Quality Assurance<\/strong> on October 5, 2011<\/strong>, by University President\u2019s Decision No. (298) of 2011.<\/p>\n

Performance Evaluation and Academic Accreditation Unit <\/u><\/strong>is responsible for undertaking the following roles and responsibilities :<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Promoting a culture of evaluation and academic accreditation across the university community.<\/li>\n
  2. Establishing clear foundations, systems, standards, and models for evaluating the performance of faculty and administrative staff.<\/li>\n
  3. Supervising self-evaluation processes.<\/li>\n
  4. Evaluating academic programs.<\/li>\n
  5. Assessing faculty performance.<\/li>\n
  6. Collecting relevant statistical data, building databases, and conducting surveys and studies to gather feedback from stakeholders on the quality of education.<\/li>\n
  7. Supporting the implementation and measurement of academic performance standards and indicators across faculties and departments, and developing tools for student learning assessment, exam regulations, academic advising systems, and performance analysis.<\/li>\n
  8. Proposing professional development programs for faculty and teaching assistants in the areas of performance evaluation and academic accreditation.<\/li>\n
  9. Monitoring colleges\u2019 analysis of students\u2019 course results and providing recommendations to enhance objectivity and accuracy.<\/li>\n
  10. Gathering student feedback on the educational process using appropriate tools and reviewing inputs and outputs for continuous improvement.<\/li>\n
  11. Supervising the preparation of programs for academic accreditation.<\/li>\n
  12. Establishing a pool of experts in performance evaluation and academic accreditation.<\/li>\n
  13. Monitoring and supporting performance evaluation and accreditation committees\/units in university faculties.<\/li>\n
  14. Preparing periodic reports and submitting them to the Center Director.<\/li>\n
  15. Developing the annual plan, monitoring its implementation, and submitting<\/li>\n
  16. annual reports to the Center Director<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Duties and Responsibilities of the Faculty Committee for Performance Evaluation and Academic Accreditation<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Preparing the college to meet quality assurance and academic accreditation standards.<\/li>\n
    2. Monitoring and reviewing annual self-evaluation reports and adherence to development plans and timelines.<\/li>\n
    3. Continuously collecting data and information related to accreditation requirements.<\/li>\n
    4. Supervising the self-evaluation process and preparing self-study reports.<\/li>\n
    5. Overseeing the implementation of surveys related to the educational process and reporting results.<\/li>\n
    6. Preparing periodic activity reports and submitting them to the college\u2019s Quality Council.<\/li>\n
    7. Carrying out additional tasks assigned to the committee related to performance evaluation and academic accreditation<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
