On Monday, April 1^st, Ali Ahmad Baktheer Hall at Hadhramout University (HU) Presidency witnessed the launching of the 8^th university student week in the presence of the University Rector and his deputies and Mr. Fahmi Awad Badawi, Assistant Deputy Governor of Hadhramout for Youth Affairs.

At the opening ceremony, Prof. Mohamed Saeed Khanbash, HU Rector, said that the activities of the eighth university student week included the 4^th scientific conference for student research, the 2019 university awards for student creativity, and sports competitions. He added: “the scientific exhibition is a continuation of the ongoing activities of the 8th university student week which aims at highlighting the talents and creativity of the university students, and to strengthen their personalities.”

After that, HU Rector and his companions opened the scientific exhibition for student creativity which lasts from 1^st – 6^th of April, 2019, as they toured the different sections of the exhibition in human, scientific and applied areas.

The ceremony was attended by: Dr. Sadiq Maknoun, Rector’s Deputy of Al-Ahqaff University, Mr. Alawi Aidros Al-Saqqaf, Director of the University of Science and Technology - Hadhramout Branch, General Sheikh Mustafa Al-Hamed, Military Police Commander in Hadhramout, deans of the colleges and their deputies, heads of scientific departments and faculty members.
