The Ali Ahmed Bakathir Hall at the Presidency of Hadhramout University hosted the closing and award ceremony for the Fourteenth University Student Week 2025, organized by Hadhramout University. The event included the Yemeni Universities Championship for Table Tennis and Chess, the Tenth Scientific Conference for Students, the Student Creativity Awards, and the first edition of the Innovative Entrepreneurial Ideas Competition. The event was graciously sponsored by Mr. Mabkhout Mubarak Bin Madi, Governor of Hadhramout, and Prof. Mohammed Saeed Khanbash, Hadhramout University President.<\/p>\n

At the ceremony, which began with verses from the Holy Quran, Prof. Abdullah Saleh Babair, Academic Affairs Vice President, noted that the university concludes the activities of the University Student Week, which it has been keen to organize annually despite obstacles. He pointed out that the activities practiced by students complement the educational process, and all university affiliates serve the students to reveal the energies and creativity that must be utilized. He confirmed that this year witnessed the organization of the first edition of the Innovative Entrepreneurial Ideas Competition, inviting Yemeni universities to continue participating in Hadhramout University’s activities. He thanked the local authority in the governorate, represented by Mr. Mabkhout Mubarak Bin Madi, Governor of Hadhramout, all local authority leaders, supporting entities, and all contributors to the success of the Fourteenth University Student Week activities for this year 2025.<\/p>\n

The closing and award ceremony included a video projector presentation prepared by the university’s media club, which was well received by the attendees.<\/p>\n

In conclusion, Prof. Mohammed Saeed Khanbash, Hadhramout University President, Prof. Abdullah Saleh Babair, University Vice President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Salem Mubarak Al-Obathani, University Vice President for Students’ Affairs, Prof. Salem Mohammed Bin Salman, Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs, and Mr. Abdullah Alawi Eidid, Secretary-General of the University, honored the contributing and supporting entities by presenting them with shields and certificates. They also honored the winners of the scientific research awards at the Tenth Scientific Conference for Students, presenting them with certificates, and the winners of the Yemeni Universities Championship for Chess and Table Tennis, presenting them with certificates, trophies, and prizes. Finally, a group photo was taken with the students who won various activities during the Fourteenth University Student Week at Hadhramout University.<\/p>\n
