In a year marked by transformation and challenge, Hadhramout University raised the banner of knowledge and innovation, reaffirming its leading role in Yemen\u2019s academic landscape.<\/p>\n
Throughout 2025, the University made steady strides toward the future through a series of tangible achievements ranging from fostering a culture of innovation among students, active participation in international forums, and adopting modern technologies such as Artificial Intelligence to serve education and entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n
Academic and Research Achievements<\/strong><\/p>\n The University\u2019s halls witnessed numerous challenges, which it overcame with confidence and competence, culminating in the registration of 100 patents\u2014a landmark achievement for the sons and daughters of Hadhramout. This milestone highlights the spirit of innovation and underscores the ability of youth to contribute to building a knowledge-based economy.<\/p>\n International Ranking<\/p>\n The University maintained its global presence as its President, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Saeed Khanbash, participated in the QS Arab Universities Forum 2025, held in Muscat in October 2025. Academic Accreditation Agreement<\/p>\n The Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery program at the University earned national academic accreditation during a ceremony sponsored by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Khaled Al-Wasabi, in October 2025.<\/p>\n First Entrepreneurship Hackathon<\/p>\n In November 2025, Hadhramout Governor, Mr. Mabkhout Mubarak Bin Madi, inaugurated the First Entrepreneurship and Innovation Hackathon, organized by the University through the Vice Presidency for Student Affairs. Entrepreneurship Support Center<\/p>\n During the hackathon\u2019s opening activities, the University launched the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Support Center, whose mission is to empower students and graduates through services such as a business incubator, a productive units pavilion, and a funding mechanism for entrepreneurial projects.<\/p>\n Strategic Partnerships<\/p>\n Several Memoranda of Understanding were signed during the event with the Hadhramout Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Al-Amal Foundation for Training and Entrepreneurship, and the Small and Micro Enterprise Development Agency to coordinate efforts in training, capacity building, and supporting entrepreneurial ventures.<\/p>\n Artificial Intelligence and Capacity Building<\/p>\n Despite challenges, studies indicate that AI tools\u2014particularly ChatGPT\u2014are being utilized at Hadhramout University to enhance education and innovation.<\/p>\n Seminars and Workshops<\/p>\n In November 2025, the University\u2019s Student Political Forum organized a specialized legal seminar on \u201cThe Legal Framework for Combating Money Laundering.\u201d Challenges and Future Path<\/p>\n Infrastructure Challenges: Final Note<\/p>\n In 2025, Hadhramout University presented a model of resilience and dedication, successfully turning challenges into opportunities for learning and growth by emphasizing innovation, promoting entrepreneurship, and initiating the adoption of future technologies such as AI. \nAcademic research shows that full integration of AI at Hadhramout University still faces obstacles, notably financial constraints, insufficient technological resources, and limited training on effective use of these tools.
\nTherefore, the University is working to enhance inclusion and reduce the digital divide among its students. The University Presidency has proposed creating a framework to ensure comprehensive and equitable integration of AI solutions in higher education, considering structural conditions and local context.<\/p>\n
