Hadhramout \u2013 University Media<\/em><\/p>\n

Today, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Saeed Khanbash<\/strong>, President of Hadhramout University, inaugurated the newly upgraded computer laboratory and advanced electronic library at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences \u2013 Fuwah Campus, marking a strategic step aimed at enhancing the University\u2019s educational and research trajectory with state\u2011of\u2011the\u2011art technological resources.<\/p>\n

On this occasion, the University President explained that the project falls within a comprehensive vision to modernize the technological infrastructure across all University faculties ,and to support the expansion of self\u2011learning and scientific research.<\/p>\n

He stated: \u201cInvestment in technology is not a luxury; it is a backbone for ensuring the quality of our educational outcomes and for creating a competitive environment aligned with the highest global standards.\u201d<\/em>
\nHe added that the project represents a foundational step in the Faculties’ journey toward obtaining international academic accreditations and accelerates the pace of academic development to keep pace with the rapidly evolving fields of medical and health sciences.<\/p>\n

Dr. Khanbash further clarified that the University, through such projects, seeks to bridge the digital gap and empower students and researchers in all regions, noting: \u201cWe are working to generalize these developmental models, with particular emphasis on providing high\u2011speed communication infrastructure, which has become an absolute necessity\u2014equivalent to water and air\u2014in modern education.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Saleh Awad Bahawil<\/strong>, Dean of the Faculty, along with his deputies and faculty members. The Dean emphasized the strategic significance of the project, stating: \u201cThe computer laboratory and electronic library are no longer optional additions; they have become essential components for delivering high\u2011quality medical education.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

He noted that both facilities represent a cornerstone of the Faculties’ \u00a0quality\u2011assurance, institutional accreditation, and program accreditation plans, reflecting the College\u2019s firm commitment to aligning its outputs with national and international standards.<\/p>\n

The Dean highlighted that the project aims to prepare medically competent graduates\u2014academically and technologically\u2014by providing an interactive learning environment based on modern electronic platforms, strengthening students\u2019 and researchers\u2019 skills in scientific research, and enabling them to meet the challenges of contemporary health\u2011care systems, which rely heavily on technology and digital data.<\/p>\n

He pointed out that the project included the supply and installation of 85 modern computers<\/strong>, distributed across the laboratories of both \u00a0Faculty buildings in the Fuwah and Fluk areas.<\/p>\n

To ensure operational efficiency and reliability, the new digital system has been connected to Starlink high\u2011speed satellite Internet<\/strong>, ensuring a stable and powerful connection that supports distance learning, access to international databases and scientific libraries, and uninterrupted research activities.<\/p>\n

This initiative represents a qualitative leap in the Faculties’ \u00a0educational environment and contributes to transforming classrooms into dynamic spaces that meet the demands of the digital era, strengthening the University\u2019s regional competitiveness in medical education.<\/p>\n
