{"id":6004,"date":"2026-04-25T09:48:25","date_gmt":"2026-04-25T06:48:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hu.edu.ye\/en\/?p=6004"},"modified":"2026-04-26T09:52:15","modified_gmt":"2026-04-26T06:52:15","slug":"hadhramout-university-develops-a-ten-year-water-management-plan-for-wadi-hajar-in-cooperation-with-fao-and-the-netherlands","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hu.edu.ye\/en\/details\/6004\/","title":{"rendered":"Hadhramout University Develops a Ten-Year Water Management Plan for Wadi Hajar in Cooperation with FAO and the Netherlands"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Al-Mukalla \u2013 University Media<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Hadhramout University, under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Saeed Khanbash, announced recently the signing of a strategic partnership agreement with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) to develop a ten-year plan for water resources management in Wadi Hajar, in cooperation with the University\u2019s Consultative Center for Environmental Studies and Water Resources.<\/p>\n<p>The agreement, which will remain in effect until June 2026, was signed on behalf of Hadhramout University by Prof. Dr. Khaled Bawahidi, Director of the Center, and on behalf of FAO by Eng: Ibrahim Al-Qudsi, Senior Water Resources Engineer at the Organization.<\/p>\n<p>The partnership adopts a participatory approach that brings together key stakeholders in Wadi Hajar, with the aim of ensuring the sustainability of water resources and enhancing water security in the region.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting also addressed the implementation of a specialized training program for students of the Department of Environmental Studies at the University.
