During its regular meeting held today under the chairmanship of Hadhramout University President, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Saeed Khanbash<\/strong>, the University Council approved a decision granting special privileges to memorizers of the Holy Qur\u2019an seeking admission to the University\u2019s faculties for the 2026\u20132027 academic year<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

According to the decision, the initiative includes a set of incentives aimed at supporting and honoring this group, most notably the allocation of one free study seat in each academic program<\/strong> offered by the University, covering both scientific and humanities disciplines, including high-demand faculties.<\/p>\n

This step reflects the University Council\u2019s commitment to its social responsibility by recognizing Qur\u2019an memorizers and appreciating the intellectual and moral effort invested in memorizing the Qur\u2019an. It also aims to attract well-rounded students who excel in both knowledge and conduct, enabling them to serve as positive role models within the University community.<\/p>\n

The decision further seeks to ease the financial burden on students and support families whose children have demonstrated excellence, particularly in light of current economic challenges. The Vice Presidency for Student Affairs is expected to announce soon the selection mechanism to be applied in cases where more than one applicant competes for a single seat. Applicants will also be required to meet the general admission requirements of each faculty and academic program.<\/p>\n
