Female students from Hadhramout University, under the supervision of Dr. Suhair Al-Hadhrami, organized an interactive field-based seminar yesterday entitled \u201cA Journey into the World of Artificial Intelligence\u201d for sixth-grade students at \u201cGreat Figures of the Nation\u201d School in Al-Mukalla.<\/div>\n
The seminar was conducted as part of community service requirements, aiming to simplify modern technological concepts through an interactive and educational approach appropriate to the students\u2019 age group.<\/div>\n
The seminar covered several core themes, beginning with an introduction to the concept of the \u201csmart brain\u201d of robots and its ability to understand speech and make decisions. This was followed by an explanation of machine learning, likened to how a child learns through continuous training and repeated practice.<\/div>\n

The presenters highlighted everyday applications of artificial intelligence, including social media platforms, voice assistants such as Siri and Alexa, and video games. They also discussed its future role in fields such as creative arts, medical diagnostics, and self-driving vehicles, while emphasizing that humans remain the primary agents responsible for directing and controlling these technologies.<\/div>\n
The seminar also featured an imagination and creativity segment, encouraging students to design imaginary robots capable of assisting them in learning and play, thereby fostering innovation and creative thinking.<\/div>\n

The activity contributed to enhancing the university students\u2019 ability to communicate academic knowledge to the community professionally and engagingly. School students demonstrated strong interaction with the visual content prepared using the Gamma platform, and were able to clearly distinguish between the role of humans as \u201ccreators\u201d and machines as \u201cassistive tools.\u201d<\/div>\n
The seminar concluded with a concise summary reinforcing the idea that artificial intelligence is a supportive tool rather than a replacement for human intelligence.<\/div>\n
