<\/p>\nHadhramout University held a memorial ceremony this morning to honor the late Prof. Dr. Ahmed Omar Bamashmos and Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman Mohammed Bamatarf, former presidents of the university, in the presence of the Deputy Governor of Hadhramout, Mr. Hassan Al\u2011Jilani, and the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Khanbash.<\/p>\n

In his speech, Deputy Governor Al\u2011Jilani conveyed the greetings of Mr. Salem Ahmed Al\u2011Khanbashi, Member of the Presidential Leadership Council and Governor of Hadhramout, expressing the Local Authority\u2019s pride in academic figures who contributed to building human capacity and shaping public awareness. He stated: \u201cToday we commemorate two distinguished figures of Hadhramout who represented exemplary models of academic and administrative dedication. Each of them played a vital role in strengthening education and enhancing the university\u2019s academic and societal standing.\u201d<\/em> He affirmed that their passing represents a great loss to the university, Hadhramout, and the nation.<\/p>\n For his part, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Khanbash announced the naming of the main hall at the Faculty of Engineering and Petroleum after Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman Bamatarf, and the main hall at the Faculty of Administrative Sciences after Prof. Dr. Ahmed Bamashmos. He noted that the two late presidents left a profound impact on the fields of accounting, agriculture, water resources, and environmental studies at the local, regional, and international levels.<\/p>\n The families of the two late professors also delivered speeches highlighting their academic and humanitarian virtues, praying for God\u2019s mercy upon them and asking that they be granted eternal peace.<\/p>\n At the conclusion of the ceremony, the University President presented the official naming decisions to the families of the deceased, in the presence of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Abdullah Babair, the Vice President for Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Salem Al\u2011Obathani, the Vice President for Graduate Studies, Prof. Dr. Salem Bamasoud, the University Secretary\u2011General, Mr. Abdullah Eided, along with a number of faculty deans, general directors, colleagues, friends, and family members of the late professors.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
