Hadhramout University President, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Saeed Khanbash, inaugurated this morning the general and obstetric emergency services at the Hadhramout University Family Medicine Center, which will operate on a 24-hour basis. The inauguration was attended by Mr. Salem Ahmed Al-Khanbashi, Member of the Presidential Leadership Council and Governor of Hadhramout, Dr. Ahmed Bin Nuweisir, Director General of the Office of the Ministry of Public Health and Population on the Hadhramout Coast, Mr. Abdulrahman Bashuaib, Director General of the Center, as well as a number of health and academic leaders and specialists.<\/p>\n

During the inauguration, Prof. Dr. Khanbash affirmed that the launch of round-the-clock emergency services represents a qualitative enhancement of healthcare provision in the governorate. He explained that the center will provide continuous medical services to meet the needs of patients at all times, noting that this step comes within the framework of the university\u2019s strategy to strengthen primary healthcare services and contribute to reducing pressure on hospitals and other health facilities.<\/p>\n

He further noted that the center\u2019s general emergency department has a capacity of 20 beds and is equipped to receive and manage emergency cases in accordance with recognized professional standards.<\/p>\n

For his part, Mr. Salem Ahmed Al-Khanbashi praised the efforts of Hadhramout University and the Family Medicine Center in supporting the health sector. He commended the level of medical equipment and facilities available at the center, which enable patients to access integrated diagnostic and treatment services in one location, thereby facilitating healthcare delivery and reducing travel burdens and waiting times.<\/p>\n

He emphasized that the operation of a 24-hour emergency department constitutes an important addition to healthcare services in the governorate and strengthens the center\u2019s capacity to serve residents of Fuwah and neighboring areas while responding effectively to emergency cases.<\/p>\n

The Director General of the Center, Mr. Abdulrahman Bashuaib, explained that the Hadhramout University Family Medicine Center is an accredited healthcare institution recognized by the Yemen Foundation for Health and Social Development as part of the network of approved health facilities in Hadhramout. He added that the center provides an integrated range of diagnostic and therapeutic services around the clock, including modern laboratories equipped with advanced technologies and diagnostic imaging services.<\/p>\n

The inauguration ceremony was attended by a number of government officials, health and academic leaders, and professionals working in the healthcare sector across the governorate.<\/p>\n
