Mr.\u00a0<\/span>Yousef Khairan\u00a0Mar\u2018i<\/span><\/b>, a teaching assistant at the Faculty of Medicine,\u00a0Hadhramout\u00a0University, along with a team of sixteen male and female students, achieved a remarkable academic distinction by securing\u00a0<\/span>first place in the Medical Sciences Track<\/span><\/b>\u00a0as part of the activities of the\u00a0<\/span>Fourth Student Conference for Research and Innovation<\/span><\/b>, thereby placing\u00a0Hadhramout\u00a0University at the forefront of the scientific landscape.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The team presented a distinguished graduation project entitled:\u00a0<\/span>
\n\u201cPhytochemical Screening, Antibacterial Activity, and Inhibitory Effects on Alpha-Amylase and Pancreatic Lipase of Extracts from\u00a0<\/span><\/b>Bisham<\/span><\/i><\/b>,\u00a0<\/span><\/b>Athrab<\/span><\/i><\/b>, and\u00a0<\/span><\/b>Sidr<\/span><\/i><\/b>\u00a0Plants.\u201d<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span>
\nThis innovative research integrates both medical and pharmaceutical perspectives and received high praise from the judging panel for its scientific merit and practical applicability.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This achievement goes beyond securing first place, underscoring the strong presence of\u00a0Hadhramout\u00a0University\u2014particularly the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences\u2014in scientific research and innovation.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In a speech delivered following the award ceremony, Yousef Mar\u2018i, on behalf of his team, expressed his gratitude first to God, and then to the leadership of\u00a0Hadhramout\u00a0University, represented by\u00a0<\/span>Prof. Dr. Mohamed Saeed Khanbash<\/span><\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span>Prof. Dr. Salem Faraj Bamusaud<\/span><\/b>, as well as the Deanship of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, the Department of Pharmacy, and the\u00a0Hadhramout\u00a0Foundation for Human Development, represented by\u00a0<\/span>Sheikh Eng. Abdullah Ahmed Bugshan<\/span><\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span>Eng. Tariq Ali Balkhashar<\/span><\/b>, in appreciation of their generous support and funding of the university\u2019s participation in this scientific event.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It is worth noting that the conference was held at\u00a0<\/span>Taiz University<\/span><\/b>\u00a0on\u00a0<\/span>9\u201310 June 2026<\/span><\/b>, under the patronage of the Prime Minister,\u00a0<\/span>Dr.\u00a0Shaye\u2018 Al-Zindani<\/span><\/b>, with the participation of\u00a0<\/span>25 students<\/span><\/b>\u00a0from various Yemeni universities.
