As part of Hadhramout University\u2019s commitment to expanding its academic presence across the Arab world and providing students with valuable opportunities for practical training and international exposure, the University has bid farewell to a new cohort of students participating in the 2026 Arab Student Exchange Program<\/strong>, organized by the Arab Council for Student Training and Creativity<\/strong>. The program is being supervised and closely followed by the University\u2019s Vice President for Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Salem Mubarak Al-Obathani<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Prof. Dr. Al-Obathani affirmed that the University\u2019s participation in the program reflects its strategic commitment to investing in its students by providing high-quality training opportunities that strengthen their academic and professional competencies while enhancing their competitiveness in both local and regional labor markets.<\/p>\n

He explained that the training placements were secured through Hadhramout University\u2019s distinguished participation in the Arab Meeting of Representatives of Arab Universities<\/strong>, hosted by Misr University for Science and Technology<\/strong> from 27 June to 1 July 2026<\/strong>. Through its active engagement, the University successfully obtained six training placements<\/strong> at leading Arab universities and industrial institutions, further reinforcing its growing academic reputation across the region.<\/p>\n

The practical training programs will continue throughout the month of August<\/strong> and have been organized into three cohorts<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The first cohort<\/strong> included a student from the Faculty of Science (Chemistry)<\/strong>, who traveled to A’Sharqiyah University<\/strong> in the Sultanate of Oman<\/strong> to undertake practical training.<\/p>\n

The second cohort<\/strong>, recently bid farewell by the University, consists of four female students<\/strong> specializing in Nursing<\/strong> and Mass Communication<\/strong>, who will receive training at Fayoum University<\/strong> and Misr University for Science and Technology<\/strong> in the Arab Republic of Egypt<\/strong>. In addition, a student majoring in Information Technology<\/strong> will undertake practical training at Middle East College<\/strong> in Muscat, Oman<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The third cohort<\/strong> is scheduled to depart in the coming days for the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan<\/strong>, where students from the Petroleum Engineering<\/strong> and Chemical Engineering<\/strong> programs will participate in a specialized training program at the Jordan Petroleum Refinery Company<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

During the farewell ceremony, Prof. Dr. Al-Obathani commended the significant contribution of the Hadhramout Foundation for Human Development<\/strong> in supporting the University\u2019s students. He expressed his appreciation for the Foundation\u2019s financial support in covering travel expenses for the participating students, emphasizing that this collaboration represents a successful model of partnership between the University and community institutions in preparing qualified national professionals capable of meeting development priorities and labor market needs.<\/p>\n

He further noted that the Arab Student Exchange Program extends beyond practical training by providing participants with valuable opportunities to exchange knowledge and experiences with students from universities across the Arab world, engage with diverse academic and cultural environments, and establish professional networks that will contribute to their future career development.<\/p>\n

The Arab Student Exchange Program<\/strong> is one of the flagship initiatives of the Arab Council for Student Training and Creativity<\/strong>.
