{"id":7183,"date":"2026-08-10T09:52:02","date_gmt":"2026-08-10T06:52:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hu.edu.ye\/en\/?p=7183"},"modified":"2026-08-13T09:58:54","modified_gmt":"2026-08-13T06:58:54","slug":"hadhramout-university-president-appoints-a-dean-for-the-faculty-of-open-education","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hu.edu.ye\/en\/details\/7183\/","title":{"rendered":"Hadhramout University President Appoints a Dean for the Faculty of Open Education"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Prof. <strong>Mohamed Saeed Khanbash<\/strong>, President of Hadhramout University, issued an administrative decision today appointing <strong>Prof. Atef Saleh Al-Tamimi<\/strong> as <strong>Dean of the Faculty of Open Education<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The decision was issued in accordance with the University&#8217;s operational and administrative requirements.<\/p>\n<p>This appointment comes as part of Hadhramout University&#8217;s ongoing efforts to strengthen academic and administrative performance, enhance leadership structures across its faculties, improve the quality of educational services provided to students, and further advance the University&#8217;s open education system.<\/p>\n<p>Prof. Atef Al-Tamimi is a <strong>Full Professor of Applied Linguistics and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL)<\/strong> at Hadhramout University. He earned both his <strong>Master&#8217;s and PhD degrees from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>He possesses more than <strong>17 years of academic and administrative experience<\/strong>, during which he has held several leadership positions, including <strong>Dean of the Faculty of Open Education<\/strong>, <strong>Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research<\/strong>, <strong>Vice Dean for Student Affairs<\/strong>, and <strong>Head of the Department of English<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>His published research, comprising <strong>more than 18 scholarly papers<\/strong>, focuses on <strong>English for Specific Purposes (ESP)<\/strong>, <strong>Needs Analysis<\/strong>, and the <strong>integration of Artificial Intelligence in education<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Prof. Al-Tamimi has received several distinguished awards and recognitions, including the <strong>Best Doctoral Dissertation Award<\/strong>, the <strong>Excellence Shield<\/strong> from both the University and the Ministry of Higher Education, and the <strong>Distinguished Researcher Award<\/strong>.
