{"id":7711,"date":"2026-10-27T21:29:36","date_gmt":"2026-10-27T18:29:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hu.edu.ye\/en\/?p=7711"},"modified":"2026-10-28T09:17:18","modified_gmt":"2026-10-28T06:17:18","slug":"hadhramout-university-launches-awareness-campaign-among-its-students","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hu.edu.ye\/en\/details\/7711\/","title":{"rendered":"Hadhramout University Launches Awareness Campaign Among Its Students"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Hadhramout University<\/strong> has announced the launch of a series of <strong>cultural and awareness seminars<\/strong> targeting male and female students across the University to raise awareness of the <strong>health, psychological, social, and economic harms associated with qat consumption and drug abuse<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>According to a circular issued on Wednesday by the <strong>Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs<\/strong> to the deans of the University\u2019s colleges, the program will be implemented by the <strong>Volunteers for Development Foundation<\/strong> in coordination with the <strong>Hadhramout Drug Control Administration<\/strong> and the <strong>University\u2019s General Directorate of Student Activities<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The circular instructed the relevant departments within the colleges to coordinate closely with the General Directorate of Student Activities to ensure the successful implementation of the program and maximize student participation.<\/p>\n<p>Under the announced schedule, the first seminar will be held on <strong>Wednesday, 28 October 2026, at 10:00 a.m.<\/strong> in <strong>Bawazeer Hall<\/strong> at the University Housing Colleges Complex. The event will target students from the faculties of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Arts and Humanities<\/li>\n<li>Environmental Sciences and Marine Biology<\/li>\n<li>Administrative Sciences<\/li>\n<li>Women\u2019s College<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The second seminar is scheduled for <strong>Sunday, 1 November 2026<\/strong>, and will take place in the <strong>Law Faculty Hall<\/strong> at the Al-Mustaqbal Complex.
