{"id":7748,"date":"2026-11-01T22:06:32","date_gmt":"2026-11-01T19:06:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hu.edu.ye\/en\/?p=7748"},"modified":"2026-11-04T09:53:04","modified_gmt":"2026-11-04T06:53:04","slug":"educational-sessions-launch-at-hadhramout-universitys-open-learning-faculty","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hu.edu.ye\/en\/details\/7748\/","title":{"rendered":"Educational Sessions Launch at Hadhramout University\u2019s Open Learning Faculty"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Mukalla \u2013 Hadhramout University \u2013 Special Report<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Open Learning Faculty at Hadhramout University<\/strong> officially launched its educational sessions program today for the <strong>first semester of the 2026\u20132027 academic year<\/strong>, under the patronage of <strong>Prof. Mohamed Khanbash<\/strong>, President of the University.<\/p>\n<p>The launch coincided with the reception of newly admitted students enrolled in the College\u2019s bachelor\u2019s degree programs, reflecting the Faculty\u2019s ongoing commitment to creating a supportive learning environment that fosters direct engagement between academic staff and students from the very beginning of their university journey.<\/p>\n<p>In his opening remarks, <strong>Prof. Atef Al-Tamimi<\/strong>, Dean of the Faculty, welcomed the new students and expressed his pride in their decision to join the Open Learning Faculty community. He emphasized that the Faculty places great importance on providing a stimulating educational environment that enables students to achieve their academic and professional aspirations through high-quality learning and training opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>Prof. Al-Tamimi encouraged students to demonstrate commitment, discipline, and perseverance throughout their studies, urging them to take full advantage of the opportunities offered by the open learning system. He described open learning as a flexible educational pathway that expands access to higher education and contributes to community development.<\/p>\n<p>The Dean also revealed encouraging indicators of continued growth in enrollment across the Faculty\u2019s undergraduate programs. He noted that the number of enrolled students has exceeded <strong>2,000 male and female students<\/strong>, distributed across <strong>ten academic specializations<\/strong>, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Law<\/li>\n<li>Business Administration<\/li>\n<li>Marketing<\/li>\n<li>Accounting<\/li>\n<li>English Language<\/li>\n<li>Islamic Studies<\/li>\n<li>Early Childhood Education<\/li>\n<li>Journalism and Media<\/li>\n<li>Arabic Language<\/li>\n<li>Geography<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>He explained that this diversity of academic programs reflects the Faculty\u2019s commitment to responding to community needs and meeting the aspirations of individuals seeking to pursue higher education while providing academic pathways aligned with labor market requirements.<\/p>\n<p>For her part, <strong>Dr. Arwa Abdullah Baawaidhan<\/strong>, Vice Dean for Student Affairs, delivered a comprehensive presentation on the Faculty\u2019s student regulations and policies.
