A delegation from the Environmental Sciences and Marine Biology Faculty at Hadhramout University held a meeting at the headquarters of Yemen Standardization and Metrology Organization Under the patronage of His Excellency Governor Mubkhot Mubarak bin Madi. They discussed areas of cooperation and enhancing the longstanding partnership between the two parties and addressed many issues and developments between them to coordinate and facilitate their work.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Fahmi Ali Baqhom, the Director of Yemen Standardization and Metrology Organization, welcomed the delegation from the faculty, praising their efforts and role in providing quality services to enhance institutional work.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Dr. Ali Muhammad Baabad, the Deputy Dean for Student Affairs, presented an overview of the faculty, its scientific departments, and some of its relevant capabilities with the organization. He expressed his gratitude to the organization for their cooperation with the faculty.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"Mr. Fahmi Ali Baqhom expressed the readiness of the organization to provide the requirements to the faculty’s deanship and to support them in overcoming all their current challenges. He also emphasized the importance of signing an agreement between the two parties.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Ahmed Eidha bin Ali Al-Haj, the Academic Deputy, highlighted the advantages of the faculty and its laboratories, which enable them to conduct various tests and analyses related to the environment, food, water, and fish. He pointed out that the laboratories had been accredited by the local authority as meeting all the relevant qualifications and requirements of the Yemen Standardization and Metrology Organization.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Director also emphasized the need for accuracy in examining products in laboratories. Mr. Nabil Shaif Al-Hadhaifi, the Director of the Laboratory Management Department, presented the capabilities, equipment, and analyses conducted by the faculty’s laboratories, stating that the laboratories are fully prepared to carry out many required tests.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The meeting concluded with several joint outcomes that would benefit the interests of both parties, such as holding work partnerships and agreements that serve both parties and organizing workshops, courses, and various scientific activities shared between them.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
