As part of the technical webinar series organised by the World Health
\nOrganisation (WHO) on various topics related to climate change and health,
\naimed at building implementation capacity at the country level, a webinar was
\nheld on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, from 09:30 to 11:00 Central European Time.
\nThe session provided an overview of the WHO Operational Framework for
\nbuilding climate-resilient and low-carbon health systems. Originally published in
\n2014, the framework has recently been updated to include guidance on
\nintegrating low-carbon pathways into health systems. It serves as a key tool for<\/p>\n
countries to plan and implement actions related to climate change and health.
\nThe framework supports countries in enhancing the resilience of their health
\nsystems to protect and improve community health in an increasingly unstable
\nand changing climate while optimising resource use and reducing greenhouse gas
\nemissions. It also contributes to the design of transformative health systems
\ncapable of delivering safe and high-quality care in the face of climate change.
\nThe session featured country-level experiences in applying the framework, along
\nwith interactive activities and small group discussions.
\nRepresenting Hadhramout University, Prof. Dr. Khaled Bawahidi, Director of
