ويُعد الربو من أكثر الأمراض المزمنة انتشارًا حول العالم، ولا يزال يمثل تحديًا كبيرًا لقطاع الرعاية الصحية نظرًا لتنوع أنماطه السريرية وتباين الاستجابة للعلاج، خصوصًا لدى الفئات الحساسة كالأطفال والحوامل والبالغين المصابين بالربو الشديد.
