Faculty Overview<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>_<\/span><\/div><\/div>[vc_column_text el_id=”about-univ”]Overview<\/span><\/strong>
\nThe Faculty of Arts was established in Mukalla in 1974, which was affiliated with Aden University under the name of the Faculty of Sciences, Arts and Education. Then it transferred to Hadhramaut University (HU) in 1999 and became independent Faculty in accordance with the HU President’s decision No. (119) of 2005, based on the Council of Ministers’ decision No. (161) of 2005.<\/span>
\nThe study duration in the faculty is four years, and it currently offers The Bachelor\u2019s programs in the following disciplines:<\/span><\/p>\n

  • Arabic Language<\/span><\/li>\n
  • English language<\/li>\n
  • Islamic studies<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Geography<\/span><\/li>\n
  • History<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Philosophy and Sociology<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Journalism and Media.<\/li>\n

    In addition to that the master’s programs are also offered in the following disciplines:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    • \u00a0History<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Geography<\/span><\/li>\n

      The total number of faculty members reaches more than a hundred among them are professors, associate professors, assistant professors, and teaching assistants.

    • Preparing graduates with high skills in the field of discipline.<\/li>\n
    • Developing strategic partnerships with the community and various private and public institutions to connect the Faculty and its outcomes to the community, leading to community development.<\/li>\n
    • Developing postgraduate programs and scientific research.<\/li>\n
