Because of the urgent need for qualified staff in field of Medical Laboratories in Hadhramout governorate and the neighboring governorates, there was a need for serious thinking to make innovative plans in order to address this problem. In coordination with the Office of Public Health and Population on the coast of Hadhramout, a workshop was held in regarding this issue, which came out with a number of recommendations, the most important of which was the opening of a Bachelor Program in Medical Laboratories in the mid of 2013. The first batch of students was received in September of the same year after all the requirements for opening the program were met.[\/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″]

To prepare outstanding scientific and practical specialists who are capable of teaching, learning and training in the fields of medical laboratory according to the Islamic, Arabic and international standards. Objectives<\/h3>

  1. To qualify highly competent Bachelor specialists in the field of medical laboratory sciences.<\/li>\n
  2. To provide Yemen with qualified medical specialists in the field of medical laboratory.<\/li>\n
  3. To prepare well qualified graduates who have the ability to communicate effectively with patients, colleagues and other members of the health team, and they also have the ability of official leadership and management in the practice of the profession.<\/li>\n
  4. To provide the students with modern technologies in various fields of medical laboratory.<\/li>\n
  5. To provide the students with sufficient information and medical skills theoretically and practically in the fields of medical laboratory.<\/li>\n
  6. To conduct researches, statistics and surveys related to endemic diseases and epidemics as well as to help control them.<\/li>\n
  7. To update plans and courses of medical laboratory.<\/li>\n
  8. To achieve laboratory safety in the fields of medical laboratory.<\/li>\n
  9. To encourage and support the scientific research environment, form research groups, and participate effectively in related training programs.<\/li>\n
  10. To give the students an opportunity to participate in community services programs that are related to this field.<\/li>\n
  11. To qualify the students for related post graduate programs.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
