{"id":351,"date":"2026-05-21T10:12:34","date_gmt":"2026-05-21T07:12:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hu.edu.ye\/medfac\/en\/?p=351"},"modified":"2026-06-04T10:14:01","modified_gmt":"2026-06-04T07:14:01","slug":"faculty-of-medicine-and-health-sciences-at-hadhramout-university-holds-its-27th-scientific-seminar-to-discuss-field-research-and-graduation-projects","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hu.edu.ye\/medfac\/en\/details\/351\/","title":{"rendered":"Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Hadhramout University Holds Its 27th Scientific Seminar to Discuss Field Research and Graduation Projects."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <strong>Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Hadhramout University<\/strong> organized this morning, <strong>21 May 2026<\/strong>, its <strong>27th Scientific Seminar<\/strong> to discuss students\u2019 <strong>field research projects and graduation projects<\/strong>, in the presence of the Dean, <strong>Prof. Dr. Saleh Awadh Bahoul<\/strong>, vice deans, heads of departments, and several faculty members, as well as organizing and student committees.<\/p>\n<p>The seminar, dedicated to the academic year <strong>2025\u20132026<\/strong>, was held in a spirit of knowledge and scholarly engagement, celebrating efforts shaped by determination and diligence through research and projects carrying meaningful humanitarian and societal impact beyond the classroom. The event commenced with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur\u2019an, followed by a speech by the President of the Student Council.<\/p>\n<p>In his address, <strong>Prof. Dr. Saleh Awadh Bahoul<\/strong> emphasized the importance of establishing scientific research as a core approach to building students\u2019 academic and professional capacities, noting that students are active partners in generating and advancing medical knowledge. He extended special thanks to faculty members and organizing and administrative committees for their efforts in ensuring the success of the seminar. He also highlighted the faculty\u2019s achievements in developing its educational infrastructure, including laboratories, lecture halls, and an electronic library, in addition to the ongoing preparations for academic accreditation.<\/p>\n<p>The Dean noted that the seminar included discussions of <strong>16 research proposals<\/strong> by second- and fourth-level students, and <strong>20 scientific research projects<\/strong> by third- and fifth-level medical students, in addition to <strong>6 graduation research projects<\/strong> in the <strong>Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)<\/strong> program and <strong>4 projects<\/strong> in <strong>Medical Laboratory Sciences<\/strong>, reflecting the breadth and diversity of research activity within the faculty.
