HU Awards MA Degree to the Researcher Samiha Aboud Mohammed Al-Hanshi

On Tuesday, 15/12/2021the Viva- Voce Examination on the master’s thesis was held at the Higher Studies hall of the Education College, Mukalla, Hadhramout University by the researcher Samiha Aboud Mohammed Al-Hanshi entitled (the impact of a computer simulation program for crisis management among the leaders of the Hadhramout Coast Education Office as a model).

The Examination committee consisted of:

Prof.  Mohammed Awadh Mohammed Salem; Chair & External Examiner (University of Aden).

Associate Prof.  Mahdi Hussein Jabal Al-Fadhli; Scientific Supervisor (University of Aden).

Assistant Prof.  Salem Ahmed; Internal Examiner (Hadhramout University)

The thesis aimed to build a computer simulation model for crisis management in professional and technical institutes, train the educational leaders in institutes on effective crisis management models, and determine the impact of the training program on crisis management.

The researcher concluded with conclusions and recommendations, the most important of which are: –

  • A computer simulation program for crisis management among the leaders of the Technical Education Office in Hadhramout highly affects the crisis management of the leaders of the Technical Education and Vocational Training Office.
  • There are no significant statistical differences regarding the impact of a computer simulation program for crisis management at the Office of Technical Education and Vocational Training in the Hadhramout Coast for Crisis Management, according to the study variables (recipient status, type of educational facility, gender).
  • With regard to the types of crises and the degree of their spread in the vocational and technical institutes in the Hadhramout coast; The thesis concluded that the most prevalent crises in the Office of Technical Education and Vocational Training, according to the opinions of the study population, are as follows:

1) Electricity is cut off from the institute during the school day.

2) Water is cut off from the institute during the school day.

3) Students dropped out of the institute in large numbers.

4) A marked decrease in students’ desire to learn.

During the examination, the thesis was enriched with valuable scientific notes that were presented to the researcher by the examination committee. At the conclusion of the examination the thesis was approved and accepted, with the amendments and the student was awarded a master’s degree in educational administration.

The examination was attended by: Dr. Abdullah Saeed Al-Hanshi; Dean of the Nursing College, Dr. Omar Mahrous; Deputy Dean for postgraduate Studies at the Education College, Mukalla, Dr. Abdullah Mohammed bin Thaleb; Head of the Educational Sciences Department at the Education College, Mukalla, a number of staff members with their assistants, a number of graduates  at the college and the researcher’s relatives.
