The Viva-Voce Examination on the doctoral dissertation was held on Monday, March 5th ,2021, at the Higher Studies Hall by the researcher Yeslam Obaid Aboud Bazhir in The Education College, entitled” Psychological factors of youth deviance in Hadhramaut governorate (coast) and its relationship to certain variables”.
The examination committee consisted of:
- Prof. Salem Ahmed Bafatoom as a chairman and Internal examiner- Hadhramaut University.
- Associate professor, Dr. Abdul Hakim Mohammed bin Break as a scientific supervisor- Hadhramaut University.
- Associate professor, Dr. Ahmed Abdu Al-Majrashi, an external examiner – University of Aden.
The aim of this research is to identify the psychological factors of youth deviance in the cost of Hadhramaut governorate and their relationship with certain variables.
The researcher concluded with the most important findings:
- There are no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05) between the mean scores of the research sample in the measure of psychological factors for the phenomenon of youth deviation in Hadhramaut Governorate (coast) due to the gender variable (males – females), as the level of significance sig was greater than ( 0.05).
- There are statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05) between the mean scores of the research sample in the measure of psychological factors for the phenomenon of youth deviation in Hadhramaut Governorate (Coast) attributable to the two groups (which have deviant tendencies), and which (have no deviant tendencies), as The significance level of sig (0.000) was less than (0.05), and the trend of these differences was for the category of youth who have deviant tendencies with an arithmetic mean of (128.86).
- There are no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05) between the mean scores of the research sample in the measure of deviant tendencies among young people due to the gender variable (male – female), since the level of significance (0.397) was greater than (0.05).
- There are no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05) between the mean scores of the research sample in the measure of psychological factors for the phenomenon of youth deviation due to the variable of the two groups: (students – non-students), as the level of significance (0.245) was greater than (0.05) ).
- There are no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05) in the effect of intelligence on youth deviation in Hadhramaut (coast) due to the sample type variable (which has deviant tendencies), (which does not have deviating tendencies), as the level of significance is sig (0.591) was greater than (0.05).
The researcher recommended several recommendations:
- Conduct a similar study on young people in Hadhramaut, (interior and desert).
- Conduct a similar sample of events and adolescents at the governorate level.
- Conducting a comprehensive study at the level of the Republic and exchanging experiences among all governorates.
At the end of the session, the dissertation was approved and accepted, with amendments recommended by the examination committee, and the researcher was awarded a Ph.D. in Education Philosophy from the Educational Sciences Department.
