On Sunday morning, February. 6th ,2022, The Hall of Postgraduate Studies at the Faculty of Education hosted Viva Voce Examination on PhD Dissertation of scholar Khaled Salem Al – Haddadi Al – Qaiti marked “Evaluation of English books in secondary school in the Republic of Yemen in the light of the standards of global language proficiency.”
The study, which was examined by a scientific committee that consisted of Prof. Salem Mubarak Al-Obthany as Chairman and internal debater – Hadhramaut University, and Prof. Nasser Omar Al-Tamimi as external debater (Seiyun University); Associate Professor Dr. Saleh Karama Qamzawy, Scientific Supervisor (University of Hadhramaut), assessing English language books at the secondary stage in the Republic of Yemen in light of language proficiency standards; And to identify the availability of language proficiency standards in English language textbooks that are taught at the secondary level in Yemen.
After extensive examination , the letter was approved and accepted with amendments recommended by the debating committee, and the researcher was awarded a Ph.D. in Philosophy of Education (PhD) from the Department of Educational Sciences.
The examination was attended by Dr. Muhammad Hassan Muqibel, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Yasser Ahmed Baabad, Director General of Admission and Registration for Graduate Studies, Hadhramaut University, Eng. Fayez Ahmed bin Shamla, Secretary General of Al-Ahqaf University, a number of members of the teaching staff and the assistant faculty, a number of graduate students at the Faculty, and relatives and friends of the researcher.
