HU President Visits the Centre of the Education Faculty and discusses the opening of new specializations – Daw’an

Prof.  Mohammed Saeed Khanbesh, President of Hadhramaut University, visited  the center of Education Faculty -Mukalla at Daw’an.

He was briefed on the work of the Centre and the educational services provided to female students, as a basic of the Daw’an Directorate and the nearby directorates, the current specializations, their level of study, and the numbers of female students enrolled.

The President of the University discussed in a working session with the administration of the Center, in the presence of Prof. Abdullah Saleh Babair, Vice President for Academic Affairs,

and Prof.  Salem Mubarak Al-Obthany, Vice President for Student Affairs,

Dr. Saeed Salmeen Balafir, Dean of Education Faculty in Mukalla,

And Prof. Abdullah Alawi Aideed, General Secretary of the University,

With the participation of Dr. Abdullah Ahmed Qaniwi, Coordinator of the Centre’s work, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Abd al-Rab al-Amoudi, a member of the House of Representatives, Mr. Salem Ahmed Bankher,the Director General of the Daw’an Directorate, and the leadership of the Silah Foundation for Development branch in Daw’an, they discussed the educational status of the center, the importance of enhancing its position in society, studying the needs of girls’ education in particular, and university education in the General Directorate, and preparing ideas for the opening of other academic programs.

It is worth noting that the regular study at the center began at the beginning of the current year 2021-2022 in four specializations: preparing the science teacher, preparing the social teacher, preparing a computer mathematics teacher.  Also the Centre currently teaches 186 female students from Daw’an District and neighboring districts, reflecting a positive community view of the desire to educate females in these districts.

In addition, HU President and his companions visited the branch of Selah Foundation for Development Daw’an,  met the management of the Branch , and was briefed on their various development projects.

He expressed his appreciation for the cooperation between the Centre and the Foundation, through its current funding for the establishment of the Centre and its contribution to building a better, brighter future in community life.
