Al-Amal Center for Peace and Development Holds Awareness Session on Peaceful Coexistence at Girls’ College, Hadhramout University

On Wednesday, April 23, 2025, Al-Amal Center for Peace and Development, affiliated with Al-Amal Women’s and Socio Cultural Foundation, in collaboration with the Center for Human and Social Studies at Hadhramout University, organized an awareness session titled “Peaceful Coexistence Among Community Groups” under the slogan “A Step Toward Bridging Differences.”

The session was held at the Girls’ College and targeted first-year students majoring in Early Childhood Education, with 35 students in attendance. The event began with an opening speech by the Dean of the Girls’ College, Dr. Najat Bosabba, who emphasized the importance of coexistence and mutual respect within society.

Dr. Abha Abdullah Ba’awidhan led the awareness session, which aimed to promote the values of equality and justice among all community members regardless of race, color, or origin, and to foster a culture of respect and peaceful coexistence to help build a cohesive society free from hatred and racism.

Key goals of the session included: strengthening the teacher’s role in creating a safe Universal environment, educating individuals about their legal rights against discrimination, eliminating stereotypes and prejudices, and encouraging community participation in initiatives promoting tolerance and anti-racism.
