Hadhramout University Family Medicine Center Inaugurates Its Third Branch in Al-Masakin Area

Hadhramout University Family Medicine Center inaugurated today its third branch in the Al-Masakin area of Mukalla, as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance healthcare services and expand access to medical care for citizens.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Mr. Saleh Aboud Al-Amqi, Secretary-General of the Local Council of Hadhramout Governorate; Dr. Mohamed Saeed Khanbash, Hadhramout University President; Eng. Saleh Al-Omari, Director General of Mukalla District; Dr. Abdullah Marai, Deputy Director General of the Ministry of Public Health and Population Office; and Eng. Ahmed Bashrahil is a representative of the Berghof Political Development Forum.During the event, the Secretary-General and accompanying officials toured the center’s departments and clinics, reviewing the medical services provided. These include the emergency department, dental clinic, dermatology clinic, obstetrics and gynecology clinic, as well as the immunization unit and several other specialties aimed at delivering comprehensive primary healthcare.

The center has been equipped with modern medical devices and equipment provided by the Berghof Political Development Forum, enhancing its capacity to offer high-quality medical services to citizens at nominal fees, thereby alleviating their healthcare burdens.

Mr. Al-Amqi praised the efforts of Hadhramout University and its supporting partners in establishing this medical facility, which will strengthen the healthcare sector in the governorate. He also called for continued development and expansion of healthcare services to meet the needs of the population. Furthermore, he affirmed the local authority’s commitment, under the leadership of Governor Mabkhout Mubarak bin Madi, to support health projects that contribute to improving medical services in the region.

Dr. Abdulrahman Bashaeeb, Director of the Center, stated that the opening of the new branch will help reduce pressure on other health centers, such as the Family Medicine Center in Mukalla, and will enhance the efficiency of services provided. He emphasized the medical staff’s commitment to delivering care in accordance with the latest medical standards.

At the conclusion of the event, several partners from the local authority and executive offices, as well as contributors and supporters who played a key role in the success of this important healthcare project, were observed.
