Conclusion of Community Service Week Activities with a Workshop Entitled “Community Responsibility of the Hadhramout University Family Medicine Center” in Mukalla

A workshop entitled “Community Responsibility of the Hadhramout University Family Medicine Center” was held at the Family Medicine Center Hall at Hadhramout University, as part of the activities of the First Community Service Week organized by the University in celebration of its 30th anniversary. The workshop was attended by the University President, Prof. Mohamed Saeed Khanbash.

The workshop featured two research presentations. The first, entitled “Measuring the Satisfaction of Visitors to the University Family Medicine Center: A Field Study,” was presented by Prof. Abdullah bin Gouth and Dr. Abdullah Saeed Al-Hinashi.
The second presentation, entitled “Financing and Sustainability of the Family Medicine Center,” was delivered by Dr. Afaf Al-Shadli and Abdulrahman Bashaib.

Additionally, Dr. Afaf Al‑Shadli presented a video report highlighting the services of the Family Medicine Center, documenting stages of development and showcasing impressions from beneficiaries and relevant authorities. The report was well-received by the attendees.

Following the presentations, a discussion session was opened, during which participants raised various questions and inquiries. The presenters provided comprehensive responses to all points raised.

At the conclusion of the event, the President of Hadhramout University honored the contributors to the establishment of the Family Medicine Center by presenting them with commemorative shields.

The workshop concluded with a set of recommendations and outcomes aimed at enhancing the operations of the Family Medicine Center in ways that further strengthen its community service mission.

The workshop was attended by:
Prof. Salem Mohammed bin Salman, Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs; a number of Faculty deans and university affiliates; Dr. Mohammed Saleh Al-Jumahi, Director General of the Office of the Ministry of Public Health and Population – Coastal Hadhramout; Dr. Khaled Shaiban, Director of Ibn Sina General Hospital in Mukalla; along with several medical staff and health workers from the center.
