Launching Competition Exams for the Admission of Postgraduate Programs

Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research Deputyship at Hadhramout University inaugurated the competition exams for admission to the master’s and doctoral postgraduate programs in various science and arts specializations in Ali Ahmed Bakatheer Hall, university presidency. It lasted for two days, and about 246 male and female students applied in the examination centers in Mukalla, Seiyun and Al-Mahra.

Dr. Hadi Salem Al-Sabban; Acting Vice President for postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, and Dr. Yasser Al-Jahwri; Assistant Vice President for postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, visited some examination halls. During which they were briefed on the progress of its performance and the regularity of the students in attendance. During the inauguration, the Vice President for postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research confirmed that the number of the specializations offered is 15, including (Banking and finance – Business Administration – Arabic language – Islamic Studies – English language – Marine Biology – Family Medicine – Zoology – Botany – Curricula and Teaching Methods (MA) and Curriculum and Teaching Methods (PhD). He indicated that students will be subject to interviews, according to their specializations and colleges during the period from 4-6 September 2018. Moreover, he confirmed that Hadhramout University was distinguished by establishing a project to computerize admission and registration in this year which facilitated the registration for all students from their various regions and websites via the Internet.

At the conclusion of his visit, Dr. Hadi Salem Al-Sabban wished all the applicants success in their exams and thanked the university presidency represented by Dr. Mohammed Saeed Khanbash; university president, and all university employees for their efforts in providing all the necessary facilities for the coordination and admission stage for postgraduate studies and scientific research at Hadhramout University. It is worth mentioning that the postgraduate studies programs have expanded and now have 42 specializations, and the university is still seeking to open new courses in the coming years, which is considered an achievement achieved by Hadhramout University at the level of Yemeni universities.
