Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research Deputyship at Hadhramout University signed an agreement between the Socotra Colleges of Arts and Education to implement the English Language Proficiency Program. It was signed by Dr. Mohammed Awadh Barsheed; Dean of Arts faculty, and Dr. Saad Amer Ahmed, Dean of Education college, in Socotra, in the presence of Dr. Hadi Salem Al-Sabban, Acting Vice President for postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research.
This program targets all postgraduate students of master’s programs in various departments and scientific specializations at Hadhramout University, as well as doctoral students in programs that will open in the future due to expanding postgraduate studies and scientific research programs. In addition, qualifying staff members, their assistants, and university employees, as well as providing the opportunity for those who willing to join the program. The program includes a number of training courses in English language.
Education college Dean in Socotra praised the role of Arts faculty which will facilitate the trouble of traveling for Socotra people, Archipelago, and provide them with the opportunity to join the program and implement all training courses at Education college in Socotra. Acting Vice President for postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Hadi Salem Al-Sabban, indicated that the number of students enrolled in the program has exceeded 600 students in English Language Program since its inauguration in Mukalla, Seiyun and Al-Mahra. The program today extends to the Socotra Archipelago, to provide an opportunity for the staff members of Education College to qualify them and help them with internal or external scholarships.
