HU participates in the Asean Arab International Conference on Higher Education

Dr. Hadi Salem Al-Sabban; Acting Vice President of HU for postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, described the ASEAN International Conference on Higher Education as an important step in the university’s participation in international forums, which started today in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur – in the presence of Prof. Sultan Abu Orabi; General Secretary of the  Arab Universities Union,  Prof. Zulekha Qamaruddin; President of the International Islamic University in Malaysia, and Dr. Khalid Al-Wasabi; Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Yemen .

It was organized by the International Islamic University in Malaysia in cooperation with the Arab Universities Union and with the support of Nama Foundation and Islamic Conference Organization , the International Institute for Muslims unity. A number of conference dimensions and working papers that were drafted by the participating universities through the Arab Universities Union will be discussed Over two days. Dr. Hadi Salem Al-Sabban; Acting Vice President for postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, said that the most important topics of the conference were:

  • Higher education and university performance measurement and management in the twenty-first century.
  • The axis of quality and the development of higher education.
  • The axis of performance indicators and the classification of universities through good practices.
  • The axis on the integrated performance measurement and classification of universities, and a proposal for an integrated tool for the Islamic world.
  • As well as the focus of the application of key performance indicators in enhancing the universities, governance and strategic planning.
  • He expressed his satisfaction with the meetings with a number of representatives of the participating universities, as representatives of more than 70 universities will attend the conference.
