Hadhramout University signed an agreement for the scholarship program for postgraduate studies (Masters), the second version, with the funder; Silah Foundation for Development, and The Student Care Association; the executing agency of the program. It was signed by Prof. Mohammed Saeed Khanbash; University President, and Prof. Hassan Ali Bashmakh; Executive Director of the Silah Foundation for Development and Mr. Ahmed Zain Bahmaid; chairman of The Student Care Association. The agreement contains qualifying 23 students for master’s studies programs in various specializations in the faculties of Hadhramout University within the framework of the partnership between the university, the Silah Foundation for Development and The Student Care Association to provide educational opportunities for students.
Dr. Mohammed Saeed Khanbash; HU President confirmed that this program qualifies 56 students in its first and second versions to obtain a master’s degree, indicating that the university seeks to expand its graduate programs to provide the opportunity for students studying remotely to complete their postgraduate studies for a master’s degree during the coming period.
He noted that the university has a strong relationship with Silah Foundation for Development and The Student Care Association for supporting some educational activities, programs and university facilities, expressing his thanks and appreciation to the institutions and bodies that support the various projects and programs of Hadhramout University.
From his part, the Executive Director of Silah Foundation for Development, Mr. Ali Bashmakh, said that this agreement came to finance the graduate scholarship program at Hadhramout University within the Foundation’s intension in supporting education at the university and reflected the effective partnership between Silah Foundation for Development and The Student Care Association with Hadhramout University which would serve the students in Hadhramout.
The signing ceremony was attended by: Dr. Abdullah Saleh Babair; Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Hadi Salem Al-Sabban; Vice President for postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Yasser Al-Jahwri; Assistant Vice President for postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Salem Faraj Bamasoud; General Director of Scientific Research, and Mr. Yasser Ba-Abbad; General Director of Admissions and Registration at postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research Deputyship at the university, and Eng. Waseem Rabihan; Executive Director of The Student Care Association.
