At the Education college Socotra, Prof. Hadi Salem Al-Sabban, Vice-President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, met with the heads of the scientific departments, in the presence of Dr. Saad Amer, the Dean of Education college Socotra, and his deputies. He discussed the practical measures and steps to be taken to achieve the scientific and academic requirements for the development of postgraduate programs in accordance with the needs of the island.
Prof. Hadi Salem Al-Sabban gave an explanation of the steps required; that the draft should be prepared by a competent committee of the relevant scientific department, submitted to the College Council for approval, then submitted to the University’s Central Programs Committee, then to the Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research Council for approval, which will also be submitted to the University Council for the final approval.
HU President described this meeting as the beginning of new level of the college. After 21 year, Socotra Students have a chance to complete their Higher education, which is consistent with the University’s goals of community development by providing community service.
