In the opening session of the workshop, Prof. Muhammad Saeed Khanbash, confirmed that this workshop is qualitative in which academics and employees in the educational sector of the governorate met each other within the framework of the partnership between the Education faculty and the Ministry of Education. He pointed out that this comes from the interest of the faculty in line with the university’s programs, especially that Hadhramout University adopted this quality project in 2013. He also indicated that the Education faculty records its history with the beginning of the academic education as it is the first faculty in Hadhramout. Moreover, It has reached 48 years since its establishment. He called on the Deanship of the faculty and all staff members to re-evaluate the college’s programs during the past 48 years, stressing that the partnership between the Education faculty in Mukalla at Hadhramout University and the Ministry of Education in the governorate will contribute to the development and improvement of the faculty’s outcomes.
From his part, Dr. Saeed Salmeen Belafair; Dean of the Education faculty, Mukalla, indicated that the faculty is the main factor of the educational sector in the framework of partnership with the Ministry of Education in the governorate. In addition he stressed that the workshop aims to determine the reality of harmonization between the outcomes of the Education faculty’s programs and the needs of the educational labor market in Hadhramout. As well as reaching proposals and recommendations to harmonize between the two parties. In addition to developing academic programs that are compatible with the requirements of the labor market in the governorate.
Furthermore, Prof. Alawi Al-Hamid; Director of the Training and Rehabilitation Department in the Office of the Ministry of Education in the governorate, had delivered a speech in which he conveyed the greetings of the First Undersecretary of the Ministry, Director of Hadhramout Education, Mr. Jamal Salem Abdoun, to the attendees. He pointed out that this workshop is an urgent necessity to build bridges of cooperation and integration between the Ministry of Education and the Education faculty at Hadhramout University in order to connect the faculty’s outcomes with the educational labor market and finding qualitative outcomes that meet the requirements of the educational sector in Hadhramout.
The workshop discussed a number of main topics on “the reality of the relationship between the Education faculty in Mukalla and the Ministry of Education’s office” ”presenting the academic programs currently available in the faculty and future ambitions “open the proposed programs at the Education faculty and the extent to which they meet the needs of the labor market” and many other topics.
It was attended by: heads of scientific departments, staff members of the Education faculty, a number of deans of faculties and academics at Hadhramout University, and a number of employees in the educational sector in the governorate.
