The Launch of The Knowledge Transfer Program for Universities Leaderships in Hadhramout

University of Holy Quran and Islamic Sciences in Mukalla organized a workshop of transferring knowledge in the leadership skills course for the university leaderships and staff members within the University Education Quality Partners Project in Yemen. It was funded by Al-Awn Foundation for Development and held in coordination with the Education faculty and Academic Development Center at Hadhramout University.

Prof. Hadi Salem Al Sabban; Acting Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research delivered a speech in which he welcomed the participants, confirmed the significance of these programs in promoting the scientific performance of the universities leaderships.

Dr. Saeed Belafair; Dean of Education Faculty expressed his appreciation for this program, the exchange of experiences and the benefit from the outcomes of Higher Education Quality Project, in the presence of a number of university leaders, and its positive impact on education in Hadhramout.

From his part, Dr. Salim Bawadi explained the fundamentals, types and characteristics of leadership, as well as crisis and risk management, and the modern trends in university education.

Dr. Mahfoudh Bajbair; Deputy Dean of the Holy Quran and Islamic Sciences University referred to the aim of the university leadership which is one of the university outcomes.

Dr. Adel Basdes; Director of HU Students Training Centre at Hadhramout University, indicated the importance of leadership at the University in improving the outcomes and building an effective student leaders.

At the end of the meeting, participants were given the opportunity to discuss and enrich the workshop with remarks and recommendations that serve to enhance university leadership.

It is worth mentioning that Higher Education Quality Project in Yemen is an annual scientific gathering with a number of knowledge courses, scientific workshops and seminars related to universities, quality descriptions and standards for the transfer of knowledge about leadership aspects of academic and administrative leadership, as well as university leadership and management skills in multiple directions.

It was attended by Dr. Omar Said Bazarah; Dean of the Environmental Sciences and Marine Biology Faculty and Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs and Scientific Research at the University of Quran, and a number of staff and teaching assistants from the University of Quran and  Education Faculty.
