The Final Match of the Football League at the Engineering and Petroleum Faculty

The Final Match of the Football League took place on Sunday, November 3, in the presence of the faculty dean, Prof. Salem Saleh Bamoumen. It was organized by the Student Activities Department at the faculty, under the supervision of the Student Affairs Department.

The match brought together the departments of Civil Engineering and Architecture. It ended in a goalless draw (0-0), and the two teams went to a penalty shootout won by the Architecture team with four goals against two goals by the Civil team. The Architecture team won the championship cup, while the Civil team received the runner-up cup.

At the end of the match, the Dean of the faculty presented the championship cup to the champion team, Architecture, and the runner-up cup to the Civil team. The best goalkeeper, Youssef Benajaj from the Civil team, was awarded a medal, and the best player, Omar Hussein Ba-Ali from the Architecture department, as well as the top scorer, Saeed Mohammed Bawazir from the Architecture department, were also honored.

The referee of the league, Captain Hani Mubarak Baamr, was honored with a certificate of appreciation, and Qataf Hadhramout Company was also honored for hosting the league matches in its stadiums. Mr. Salem Ali Balkma, the company’s representative, received the certificate of appreciation.

The match was attended by Dr. Salem Khamees Bin Shamla, former Head of the Civil Engineering Department, Dr. Walid Ahmed Bazar, a staff member of the Civil Engineering Department, the Director of Student Activities at the faculty, Mr. Abdulqader Ahmed Ba-Issa, Mr. Mohsen Awadh Bazoomah, President of the Rokub Youth Club, Mr. Saeed Faraj Baaqil, a member of the Coastal Football Association, Mr. Mohammad Awadh Bamaterf, a media specialist, and Mr. Khalil Qanzel, a member of the tournament’s assistant committee.
