Dr. Amer Badr Bin Murdah; Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Petroleum met with Eng. Fahad Abdullah Baeshen; chairman of the Hadhramout Foundation for Invention and Scientific Advancement. During the meeting, a discussion took place to launch the University’s Inventor and Researcher Program for the second edition of 2018, which was implemented by the Foundation with funding from the Al-Awn Foundation for Development, as well as coordination to conduct Student meetings for faculty students and discover inventors and creators among them . The program targeted university students, including students of the Faculty of Engineering and Petroleum at Hadhramout University, and this came within the framework of the memorandum of understanding signed by Hadhramout Foundation for Invention and Scientific Advancement with Hadhramout University; To create joint cooperation relations between the two sides to serve the university students.
The chairman of the Hadhramout Foundation for Invention and Scientific Advancement reviewed some ideas, projects and programs that will serve the educational process in the faculty, including equipping a robot lab, operating the faculty’s laboratories. In addition to coordinating with the Deanship of the Faculty of Engineering and Petroleum to open an incubator for invention under the supervision of the Foundation with the aim of discovering inventors, creators and innovators from students in various departments. Thus, training them on how to create inventive and innovative models that meet the needs of society.
In his turn, the Dean of the Faculty expressed their readiness to cooperate with Hadhramout Foundation for Invention and Scientific Advancement in various fields that will serve the educational process, develop the skills and capabilities of the faculty students, discover inventors among them, and allocate a special place within the faculty to be an incubator for invention. In addition to facilitating all procedures and coordination with departments to hold meetings for students within the university’s inventor and researcher program, second edition of 2018
