HU Petroleum Engineering Department Honors the Geological Survey and Mineral Resources Authority

Dr. Salem Obaid Baaramah;  head of HU Petroleum Engineering Department and the scientific society honored the Geological Survey and Mineral Resources Authority represented  by  Eng. Salah Ahmed Babhair; the General Director of the authority. It was held in the presence of Eng. Ahmed Abdullah Yamani Al-Tamimi; Chairman of the Board  Directors of the Geological Survey and Mineral Resources Authority in the Republic.

This honorary ceremony came in return for the efforts of the Authority’s branch in general and the efforts of the General Director in particular, made in the success of the department’s activities in general, and the training of students in particular, through field visits to link practical reality with theory.

During the honoring, both the chairman of the authority, Eng. Ahmed Al-Tamimi, and the general director of the branch, Eng. Salah Babhair, stressed that the authority’s leadership was supporting the students and facilitating all matters that would serve their scientific career. It was agreed on the necessity of signing a joint cooperation protocol between Hadhramout University and the Geological Survey Authority in the Hadhramout branch. The authority’s branch in the governorate expressed its willingness to support and develop the geology laboratory in the Petroleum Engineering Department, and to launch into broader fields related to training the department’s students on various geophysical surveys. In addition to evaluate the sedimentary layers and various mineral resources of Hadhramout and the geographical scope of the branch.

The honorary ceremony was attended by the student Hussein Khalid Al-Dhabi; Head of the Scientific Society in the Petroleum Engineering Department.
