Postgraduate students participated in the 1st international conference for quality assurance, which was held at Sohag University in the Arab Republic of Egypt April 1-4. Dr. Hadi Salem Al-Sabban; Acting Vice President for postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research indicated that this participation of Hadhramout University students for postgraduate studies and scientific research abroad is an evidence For their knowledge and ability to crystallize their ideas and participate in conferences or scientific forums abroad. Also he considered the research paper presented by Dr. Abdullah Ibrahim Al-Aidarous and Dr. Hani Hadi Ba-Abbad an honorable image of Hadhramout University. Abdullah Ibrahim Al-Aidarous and Hani Hadi Ba-Abbad, PhD degree students, had participated in a research entitled “Managing Sports Facilities at Hadhramout University. The scholarship student, Hani Ba-Abbad, described that his participation is a full explanation of the university’s sports facilities and how they are managed by the Physical Education Department at Education College .” He expressed his gratitude to participate in such a regional forum, in which specialists were participated from Arab Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Iraq, Algeria and Yemen which we represented from the universities of Hadhramout and Hodeidah. Eng. Ali Abdulrahman Zaid Al-Qadhi presented a paper entitled Establishing proposed academic standards for the physical education sector in the Republic of Yemen according to the quality requirements of the Academic Accreditation Council and Quality Assurance in Higher Education. The conference, which was attended by a number of university representatives, commenced with an opening session attended by His Excellency Dr. Khalid Abdel Ghaffar; Minister of Higher Education, His Excellency Major General Ahmed Abdullah; Governor of the Red Sea, His Excellency Minister Ahmed Al-Ansari; Governor of Sohag, Dr. Johansen Eid; Chairman of the National Authority Board Directors for Quality Assurance of Education and accreditation, Prof. Ahmed Aziz Abdel Moneim; president of the conference, and Prof. Ayman Abdel Hamid, conference reporter.
The session expressed the hope that the scientific research, papers presented and lectures included in the conference schedule would provide a forward-looking vision for the quality of the outcomes of the participating universities. Research papers were presented at the conference on a number of topics presented by a number of researchers from Arab universities. The conference sessions included discussions and dialogues that, in their entirety, reflected the themes of the conference and reached recommendations that will have an impact on our Arab universities.
