Prof. Hussein Abdulrahman Baslama; Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Mueen Abdul-Malik Saeed; representative of the Prime Minister – expressed his appreciation and happiness for attending the 1st international conference on computing and intelligent engineering which was held at Hadhramout University. He conveyed in his speech at the opening session the greetings for the political leadership represented by his excellency the President of the Republic, Marshal, Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi, and Prof. Maeen Abdul-Malik Saeed, Prime Minister. He added that Hadhramout University, which was unique in this distinction and diversity of knowledge, is a model for national universities, calling for the academic year 2020 to be a year for scientific research.
On his part, Major General, Faraj Salmeen Al-Bahsani, Hadhramout Governor and Commander of the Second Military Region, said that holding this conference in these circumstances is a milestone in the development of Hadhramout University and its leadership, pointing out that Hadhramout relies a lot on the outcomes of this important conference. Prof. Mohammed Saeed Khanbash; HU President said that the intension of this scientific research is the true measure for the development of countries and peoples. He pointed out that the scientific research is the basis for solving the economic, social and political problems that encounter different countries, announcing the proposal of Hadhramout University to establish a fund for scientific research. In addition, he confirmed that Hadhramout University organized four conferences during the year 2019, and intends to organize four other scientific conferences in 2020, such as, the 5th conference for university students, the 6th conference on basic and applied sciences of the university, and two conferences in Administrative Sciences and Engineering in cooperation with Perlis, Malaysian University. Moreover, he noted that the number of more than 60 research papers will be presented in the conference.
Dr. Faisal Saeed; General director of the Conference and Head of the Research Group for Yemeni Scholars, had delivered a speech via satellite in which he expressed his thanks to Hadhramout University; For hosting this international conference, which comes as a translation of the coordination between the group and the Institute of Electronic and Electrical Engineers (IEEE) in America. From his side, Dr. Bashir Abbas Samaha; advisor of the Arab Universities Union and Russian Universities, indicated that his attendance at the conference comes in the context of the scientific relationship development between Hadhramout University and Russian universities. He praised the efforts made by the leadership of Hadhramout University to develop its relations with Arab and Russian universities, the results of the recent visit of the HU delegation to the Russian Federation, and the signing of a number of agreements that would benefit Hadhramout University to enhance its international relations.
