Faculty Overview

The Faculty of Law at Hadhramout University was established by the University Council Decision No. (25) in its session held on 1 February 2012, and the University President’s decision No.(368) of the academic year 2012 regarding the establishment of the Faculty issued on 16th September of that year, 30 Shawwal 1433H. The Faculty of Law was one of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences departments, which was the department that formed the foundation of the new Faculty and then attached to it according to the establishment decision.
Faculty of Law is the fifteenth faculty in Hadhramout University and it determines its vision, mission and objectives and seeks to achieve them according to the available possibilities. The faculty also seeks to achieve its objectives in serving the community through the participation of the teaching staff with the scientific research, conferences, scientific seminars and workshops. In addition, the faculty contributes to implementing several of the activities of the civil institutions.
The Faculty signed a partnership agreement with the Hadhramout Foundation for Legal Support and Training . This agreement aims to implement the programs, study plans practically, and establish the joint activities. The Faculty affirms its readiness to establish partnerships with relevant civil institutions and committees

Vision

To be a qualified Faculty by providing academic legal education, distinguished programs and outcomes.

Mission

To achieve an academic legal qualification that combines the foundations of Sharia in organizing the social relations, the world legal theory and its applications, the national legislations , the needs of the community and the labor market in the country.

Objectives

  • To enrich the knowledge of the provisions of Sharia in organizing the relations between individuals, and between them and the community.
  • To prepare an academic generation who are qualified in the field of law in order to follow up the current development in all fields.
  • To build relationships with the relevant faculties inside and outside, and with the professional committees(courts, offices, police and others) in order to achieve the scientific and practical benefits for students.
  • To join the Faculty with the community by conducting workshops, seminars, and panels discussion of the important issues and study its legal and social effects.
