In cooperation with Hadhramout University (HU) Family Medicine Center, Al-Basar International Foundation implemented the specialized ophthalmology campaign funded by King Salman Humanitarian Aid & Relief Center from 7 to 21 October, 2019. The campaign provides several services for patients from different districts of Hadhramout governorate including: medical examination, laboratory tests, and dispensing medicines and glasses. In addition to referring cases that require eye surgery to Haya Al Yahya Eye Hospital in Mukalla.
Dr. Abdullah Babaeer, HU Vice President for Academic Affairs, expressed his thanks and appreciation to King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center for supporting and funding such medical camps and campaigns that alleviate the suffering of patients in Hadhramout, as well as Al-Basr International Foundation, Haya Al-Yahya Eye Hospital and the Family Medicine Center for organizing this campaign.
Dr. Awad Yaslam Ba-hanhan, Deputy Director–General of the Ministry Office of Public Health & Population, pointed out that the Ministry Office had permanent partnership with King Salman Center and HU Family Medicine Center. “We appreciate the efforts of Al-Basar International Foundation for their constant communication with King Salman Center to conduct and support such medical camps and campaigns in Hadhramout,” he added.
