Overview
The Arabic Language Department was established with the establishment of the Education Faculty in Socotra with a bachelor’s program.
Vision
To be a Pioneering in achieving distinct outcomes in the Arabic language, and contributing to the enrichment of knowledge and community development.
Mision
Preparing educational leaders in the field of Arabic language and its literature who are able to serve their community.
Objectives
- Qualifying Arabic language teachers scientifically and pedagogically in an integrated manner to achieve the requirements of the educational process in the governorate’s schools.
- Establishing close relations with the Arabic language departments in the colleges of Education and Arts at Hadhramout University and other Yemeni universities as well as relevant local and international research centers.
- Keeping abreast of the latest educational methods and means, and providing an appropriate environment that stimulates thinking and creativity.
- Training Arabic language teachers in all schools of the archipelago, Socotra during their service, and supporting the values of continuing education for them.
- Providing consultations and studies to educational administrations throughout the Socotra archipelago governorate that would contribute to the development and modernization of education.
