Prof. Mohammed Saeed Khanbash, examined the prospects for cooperation between Hadhramaut University and the Education Office of the island in Hadiboh, the capital of Socotra, in the presence of the accompanying delegation: Prof. Hadi Salim Al-Sabban, Vice-President of the University for postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Abdullah Alwai Aideed, Secretary-General of the University, and Prof. Hussein Abdallah Baslaib, Director-General of president Office.
HU President thanked the University’s leadership and appreciated the considerable cooperation of the Education Ministry, represented by the Minister, Prof. Tariq Salim Al-Akbari. He commended the very positive role played by Professor Ahmed Ibrahim Al-Thakkali, Director-General of the Education Office in Socotra by allocating one of the education officr buildings to be the new headquarters of the Education College, ending a 21 years old struggle working in rented buildings.
The meeting examined aspects of joint action in the coming days through holding meetings and workshops, and presenting research papers on the development of education college through the qualification of the teaching cadre, both a class teacher and a subject teacher of disciplines such as: Mathematics, physics and other sciences.
At the end of the meeting, HU President offered the Hadhramout a University Shield as a souvenir and to the Education Office in Socotra, represented by Prof. Ahmed Ibrahim Al-Thakkli, Director-General.
