As part of the activities commemorating International Accounting Day, the Administrative Sciences Faculty organized a field visit for fourth-year accounting students (parallel program) to the National Bank of Yemen – Mukalla Branch. The students were welcomed by Mr. Omar Barba’a, Deputy Director of the Bank.
During the visit, students were introduced to the history and establishment of the National Bank, its branch network, and the vital role banks play in the economy. They also gained insights into the fundamentals of banking operations, including letters of credit, letters of guarantee, loan issuance for individuals and businesses, and interest-related matters.
Additionally, the bank representatives provided valuable advice and recommendations regarding recruitment processes and key qualifications that enhance employability in the banking sector.
In conclusion, the students expressed their gratitude to the bank’s representatives for the valuable information shared and their openness in addressing questions and inquiries.
It is worth noting that the College is currently working to organize several field visits for its students to various sectors operating in the city of Mukalla.
