As part of its celebrations of the 25th anniversary of Hadhramout University’s establishment, the Academic Development and Quality Assurance Center at the university organized a workshop entitled “Developing Skills in Strategic Planning for Quality Committees. During the opening session, Prof. Mohamed Saeed Khanbash, the university president, urged the participants to benefit from the expertise of Dr. Medhat Saeed Abdelrazak, Professor of Public Health and Community Medicine at Cairo University and Consultant for Policies and Strategic Planning at the Ministry of Health in the Arab Republic of Egypt. He emphasized the importance of reflecting on all the practical skills in preparing strategic plans for each faculty of Hadhramout University to enhance performance and improvement in all its faculties. He wished the participants success and benefit from the outcomes of the training workshop in their practical work in their faculties.
The workshop aims to enhance the performance efficiency of the faculties and evaluate the laboratory environment within them. It aims to analyze strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and risks in developing the strategic plans. In addition, it trains participants on how to formulate a vision, mission, general objectives, and mechanisms for achieving them in the faculties of Hadhramout University.
The workshop was attended by Prof. Abdullah Saleh Babair, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Abdullah Eidha Bahishwan, Director of the Academic Development and Quality Assurance Center, Dr. Hadi Salem Al-Sabban, Acting Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, deans of the faculties, their deputies, and heads of quality committees in the university.
