The Alumni Club, in cooperation with Engineering and Petroleum faculty- Hadhramout University held a closing and honoring ceremony for the students participating in the summer training program on Thursday 10/10/2019. At the beginning of the ceremony, Eng. Saeed Salem Barian; Director of the Alumni Club, gave an overview of the club, the programs it implements, and the partnership between the club and the faculty represented in the summer training programs because of their importance in linking the practical and theoretical sides.
Dr. Amer Badr bin Mirdah; Dean of Engineering and Petroleum Faculty talked about the importance of the training, pointing out that a number of meetings had taken place with training bodies from companies and institutions, which resulted in the conclusion of partnership agreements to train faculty students. He urged the students to take advantage from these important programs.
The dean of the faculty concluded his speech by thanking the Alumni Club for its great efforts and effective contribution to the success of the summer training program for the students. In the same context, the Head of the Civil Engineering Department, Dr. Salem Khamis Bin Shamla, and the Head of the Architectural Engineering Department, Dr. Anwer Ahmed Ba-Issa, delivered two speeches in which they valued the efforts of the faculty and the Alumni Club in paying attention to the field applied aspect that has an impact on enhancing the university educational process.
At the end of the ceremony, the Deanship of the Faculty and the Civil and Architectural Engineering Departments were honored for their efforts in making the summer training program. The staff members and students participating in the training program were also honored. The Deanship of the faculty honored the Alumni Club, represented by its director, Eng. Saeed Barian, and Eng. Tariq Belkhasher, director of the club’s programs and activities unit. The ceremony was attended by staff members of the Civil and Architectural Engineering Departments.
