HU Presidency Meeting with the Deanship of Engineering and Petroleum Faculty

On Monday morning, February 18, 2019, a meeting was held in the meeting room of the Faculty of Engineering and Petroleum. It was held between  HU leadership, headed by the President of the University, Prof.  Mohammed Saeed Khanbash, Prof.  Abdullah Saleh Babair; Vice President for Academic Affairs, Prof.  Salem Mubarak Al-Obthany; Vice President for Student Affairs, and Dr. Hadi Al-Sabban;  Acting Vice President for postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research and Prof.  Abdullah Aideed; General Secretary of the University with the Deanship of Engineering and Petroleum faculty headed by Dr. Amer Badr Bin Murdah; Dean of the faculty and the Vice Deans for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, Quality and Community Service, in addition to the heads of scientific departments.

The meeting discussed a number of topics that related to the educational process at the university and faculty, the most important of which is the discussion of the regulations for evening education, private expenses and parallel education, and the amendments made by the faculty about that regulation.

After extensive discussions, it was agreed to refer these amendments and comments to the committee that prepared the regulation for discussion, absorption and submission to the University Council for approval.

The meeting also discussed the issue of contractors with the faculty and the possibility of transferring their contracts through the university presidency  to be signed by the Secretary-General of the university for all the previous contracts and review the new contracts. In addition, contracting is not allowed from the beginning of 2019  except after the approval of the university president.

The meeting also discussed a number of topics regarding the complementary term and some financial matters.
