The second competition of the second level students in its two sections (morning and evening) was held on Monday morning, 11/1/2020 Under the patronage of the Petroleum Engineering Department, and among the activities of the Scientific Society of Petroleum Engineering, and in cooperation with the students of the department. It was held in the conference hall, under the supervision of Prof. Abbas Al-Khadfi. It was the second competition for the second year in a row held by the Scientific Society of the Department’s Students within the framework of extra-curricular competitive activities.
At the beginning of the competition, Dr. Abbas Al- Khadfi welcomed the guests, addressing a motivational speech to the contestants, urging them to enrich and develop their knowledge through active participation in the department’s activities. ▫ The competition was attended by Dr. Salem Obaid Ba-Arma; the head of the Petroleum Engineering Department, , Dr. Salem bin Qadeem, Mr. Mohammed Bazara’; the Scientific Society’s supervisor, and the student Hussein Al-Dhabi; the head of the Scientific Society. The competition was conducted between four groups (A/B/C/ each group consisted of four students, answering a set of questions in the same time), and the winner was chosen in an enthusiastic competitive atmosphere among the students. The competition included some entertaining activities, questions and prizes for the attendees.
At the end of the competition, the winning team, group B, was honored after obtaining 60 points, which is the highest score among the four groups, namely:
