Students of Hadhramout International Schools on A Visit to Engineering and Petroleum Faculty at Hadhramout University

Year 11 Students in the scientific department at Hadhramout International Schools visited the Engineering and Petroleum Faculty – at Hadhramout University on Thursday, November 2, 2023. Mr. Mohamed Abdullah Bin Afif, the employee affairs officer, led the students, accompanied by the teacher Omar Kasha Jollouh and teacher Kawther Samba, Kenyan nationality, and the school’s media representative, Salman Omar Baswad.

Mr. Zaher Mubarak Thawban, the media officer at the faculty, received the students along with Eng. Basil Hadi Bajamza, a member of the faculty laboratory committee.

At the beginning of the visit, Mr. Zaher Thawban provided the students with an overview of the faculty, its departments, and the admission and study system. He emphasized that the faculty is considered the nucleus of the university and the first faculty established in the university. It is distinguished by its rare and unique scientific departments, such as the Petroleum and Chemical Engineering departments, and the opening of the Master’s program in Petroleum Engineering and Architectural Engineering.

After that, the students toured the faculty’s buildings, laboratories, and facilities. They received a brief explanation of the work conducted in each laboratory and facility and an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the equipment, machines, and components used, as well as observe practical applications for the students.

At the end of the visit, the students had a meeting with the Dean of the faculty, Dr. Salem Saleh Bamoumen, in his office. They expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to visit and their thanks to Mr. Zaher Thawban for accompanying them during the visit and providing them with information about the faculty and university studies, as well as information about the laboratories and facilities.
